Staff tell us off for swearing when it is their choice whether they choose to see the swearing or not.

exactly the bobba filter is there for a reason if a user comes in and complains about swearing HxHD staff should advise them to switch on the bobba filter that is after all what it's there for.
I’ll be a story in your head, but that’s okay, because we’re all stories in the end. Just make it a good one, eh? Because it was, you know. It was the best. A daft old man who stole a magic box and ran away. Did I ever tell you that I stole it? Well, I borrowed it. I always meant to take it back. Oh, that box, Amy, you’ll dream about that box. It’ll never leave you. Big and little at the same time. Brand-new and ancient and the bluest blue ever. And the times we had, eh? Would had…Never had. In your dreams, they’ll still be there. The Doctor and Amy Pond and the days that never came.

I thought he was refering to your Habbo name but meh ok lol.

edit: if your at the desk now you'll notice people being kicked for swearing in their conversations... you'll now notice because they've been kicked they've now become abusive if they were left to their conversations they wouldn't have become abusive and the desk wouldn't get so much trouble. =[

On the weekends the desk does get crowded and there is the occasional user who does violate the rules. However, the desk staff handle these situations well, and just recently Tim and Joe have come up with a fantastic new waning system that gives users a second chance.

Edit: and in that situation he only became abusive because he was kicked for being banned first which I expect was for only swearing.

Actually, Habbo staff handled the situation today. I must admit, the moderation team of Sulake must have it pretty crazy on the weekends, there was over 8,000 players active today and they handled it with ease. They in my respect handle their duties very well. It's a shame the Hobba team can't be with us, but the moderation team is doing an exceptional job.

Half the people on the ban list don't even know why they're banned anyway and unless they're part of the forum can't actually get it reviewed or discussed .
I agree in the sense that since Sulake has revoked the swearing rules there has been some questioning within the desk as to why users are unable to swear, but I'm thankful that Tim and Joe have decided upon not permitting the users the privilege. There's millions upon millions of words in the English language, surly there are other, more polite words that can be used in a public place such as this. As far as the kicking and banning right away for swearing goes, you're correct when saying there's been no standard for warning/banning users. However just today Joe and Tim have designed a new Warning and Ban system, that's been working fantastically since it's been introduced.

Happy Easter everyone (It's still easter in Canada ),
