3 year old fell from 2nd floor of Liverpool Primark store.

A THREE-YEAR-OLD girl was today fighting for her life in hospital after a horror plunge in Primark's Liverpool city centre store.

The youngster fell more than 100 feet inside Primark on Church Street in front of stunned shoppers.

The girl was on the second floor when she toppled over into the gap between escalators and plunged three floors to the basement.

She was rushed to the Royal Liverpool Hospital with her distraught family, where her conditon was described as critical.

Emergency services said she had ‘torso-based’ injuries and was suffering from breathing difficulties.

An announcement was made over the public address system and hundreds of shoppers were evacuated.

Witnesses said they heard screams and the sound of a loud thud as the little girl hit the floor.

Crowds gathered outside as the girl was taken to the ambulance.

Merseyside Police say there was nothing to suggest the incident is suspicious.

A spokesman said: “We are at the scene, checking CCTV footage and taking witness statements from people.”

A Primark spokesman confirmed the store was closed and said the company’s thoughts were with the girl and the family.

I don't understand how anyone can find that funny.

Could easily put the blame on the parents, but then again they can turn round and say there was no saftey barriers.
But then again had they have been watching the kid, this wouldn't have happened.

What the hell are you on about, it's not their fault at all. This could of happened to anyone, I know a 3-year old doesn't have as much common sense as perhaps an adult but this could of happened to anyone by the sounds of it. It could of just took an adult to push another adult and they fall. It's in no way the parent's fault, there is very tough health and safety law's so you can allow younger kids to go around these stores with out being watched like Big Brother by your parents. Primark could be sued for millions if it turns out to be their fault.

The worry is that she'll have little quality of life if she stays alive, but get well soon never-the-less.

When I was a moderator it was frowned upon, I'm sure it was in the moderator guide actually, but yeah, we used to be told off for it. Things change though.
