No, that most certainly isn't the case. Apple's are in a market for themselves to a respect, seeing as they're the only ones to market OS X. Therefore users whom desire OS X are forced to pay more for it.

There have not been any Mac viruses, it is possible to create them but because the way OS X runs, they don't have an effect. You need a password to do anything that will affect the system and the virus has to be made to target a user, it cannot target everybody.

This is somewhat true. The user would have to be tricked into installing the virus however. So there are viruses, but the user must approve of their functions. Some users do actually fall for these schemes, and get an OS X virus.

No they choose to do that as it makes the OS much, much more secure and they can market it with true facts rather than guessing because with Windows everything makes it work differently.

You're also find Apple aren't in the market for themselves, they work with much more companies by affiliate than Microsoft ever have or will. Places like Google work directly with Apple to provide products and services.

I said they're the only ones marketing OS X. No other computer manufacturers license OS X besides Apple. Ubuntu is a secure operating system that can be installed free on Windows. However my AVG catches viruses for me .
