I think that's the best solution or even people just checking announcements.
Or even, if possible, some sort of box on the forum that has "recent announcements" with the 5 most recent announcements... don't know if that's possible. Kinda like a "latest news" thing that way they're all viewable.
Seems a bit of effort for bumping and kinda looks untidy. Is there a feature that allows important announcements to appear above all the catagories on Habbox? Like when polls are posted at the top of the forum? That could work.

Yes there is,
It called 'Global Announcements'.
Or in the next update which will be Vb 3.7, it would be called 'Notice'
That'd be the best thing I guess but if it's "important" announcements only then eventually it'll be old news and look like nothing is going on...
exactly. Events keep the announcements alive!
- otherwise the forum category will be as dead as elvis.
- Everyone will moan and want to bring the events back in the forum
- Death will come to all
The events are for the Habbox public so announcements regarding them will be put in the announcements forum for the Habbox public to see - it makes sense? Just because you don't go to any doesn't mean others don't.
If you want to read other announcements then it's not hard to open the actual announcement forum is it?

With a forum that has hundreds of users - with about half of them not even using Habbo and only about 10/15 Habbos going to each event... Posting information before and after each event (which is pratically everyday) is pointless. The events are for the Habbox public so announcement regarding them will be put in the announcements forum for the Habbox public to see them - it makes sense? Just because you don't go to any doesn't mean others don't.

And why should we have to open the announcement forum everyday just to see if there's anything of major importance? If there is something that management needs to tell us we should be able to see it without having to scroll through pointless threads...
Yeah it is a bit lazy... just click on the forum and read?
You don't need spoon-feeding. It isn't hard to click on a forum.
