    BB9: Alex removed from house

    Anita Singh
    19/ 6/2008

BIG Brother contestant Alexandra De-Gale has been thrown off the show for allegedly intimidating other housemates.

As a result of her removal the eviction which was due to take place on Friday has been cancelled.

Alexandra, who was facing bodybuilder Mario Marconi in the public vote, was the favourite to be voted out.

Channel 4 said that during her nomination for this week's eviction, De-Gale allegedly threatened her fellow housemates with punishment from "gangster friends".

Other housemates found her behaviour threatening, Channel 4 said.

Alexandra allegedly made the comment about gangsters while speaking to albino contestant Darnell Swallow on Tuesday night, while a number of other housemates were in proximity.

According to Channel 4's transcript, while discussing the fact that she had been nominated, Alexandra told Darnell: "I'm not throwing water at anyone. It's bigger than that... personal offence is never forgotten, do you know what I mean?

"We are just inside the house. I've got a very, very, very, very, very strong team outside the house."

She added: "I just can't wait to see my mans and them and see what their plans are, who they got... I'm not talking about those mans, I'm talking about my gangster friends. They got some instructions to follow out."

    Family

She added later: "I get to go out, see everyone's friends, I get to see their family. I get to do the s*** that I wanna do. Pow, pow, pow."

Angela Jain, Head of E4 and Big Brother at Channel 4, said: "Alex's comments will be widely interpreted as having been intended to intimidate. Other housemates have said they found her comments to be threatening and we believe that is the reasonable conclusion for them to have reached given the way Alex has behaved previously.

"Big Brother has very clear rules about housemates' conduct and that kind of behaviour is not acceptable.

"She has already been spoken to twice about her behaviour, and, like all housemates, was clearly informed before entering the house that she faced eviction if she acted in an unacceptable manner."

    Single mother

Dennis McHugh, Rebecca Shiner and Rex Newmark overheard single mother Alexandra's conversation with Darnell, who was deported from the US over alleged gangster related activities, and discussed them in the garden.

They said they found the Muslim convert's behaviour threatening and Rex told Big Brother how they felt in the Diary Room.

Channel 4 said the conversation was not broadcast in the live streaming on Tuesday but reported straight to production staff.

Alexandra was removed from the house yesterday.

Described by bookies as the most hated housemate ever, she had been warned twice previously in the Diary Room about her behaviour and sparked hundreds of complaints to TV watchdog Ofcom.

She was first warned about her behaviour after launching a volley of abuse at a housemate over burnt chips.

She also attacked Rex for borrowing her cigarette lighter and she was warned for a second time after calling Mohamed Mohamed a "disgrace" following a task.

    Ironic?

Anyway, just because you see companies charing x amount for xhtml/css doesn't mean you can go and compete with them. Their companies are well branded and have the experience to charge the amount they do. If a company was looking to get their site coded and saw you offering to do it for £50 and another well branded company for £500 they'd still go with the more expensive but respected company.

You've got your figures a bit off, a 'typical' PSD to xhtml company charges $50 - $80 (£25 - £40) for the first page, then normal 50% off for the any pages after. Although it wouldn't be hard to find a respected company charging only $20 - $30 for the first page.

No, I looked at numerous companies, the cheapest being about $135 a page, the most expensive being £999 a page.
