No, its the fact that people actually dont take most of the things into account.

    Sorry if I seemed rude.

But actually, most of the XP apps work 100% on Vista.

Can't you change the compatibility settings to work with 2000? I've had some 2000 programs and games that have worked afterwards.

    LOL.. "barely any work.."

That's funny.. because having since switched from XP to Vista (last Christmas).. not one of my programs have ceased to stop working.

I've had no driver issues.. no problems at all.. no software stops working..

When Vista had very first came out there were many compatibility problems, such as Nero burning. Then developers updated their applications and they began working better on Vista. Even now, though, I still cannot run Civilization II, or Total War on my Vista system due to incompatibility. In addition there's many key generators, no-cd fixes that don't work on Vista.

Can't you just right click on the apps and do properties then compatibility and set it to run in xp mode?

You can try, but it doesn't always resolve the problem.

an hour ago for instance, I "keep my Vista up to date with automatic updates". When I come home my screens are blank. Reboot...still blank. The update did something (I don't know what) and prevented my display driver from working. Not a huge problem, I can use the computer without being able to see what I'm doing:eusa_wall:eusa_wall. (Thankfully Vista repair-o wizard Fixed the problem in just 40 minutes:rolleyes
