I fail to see how a warning of the heat means we live in a nanny state. :S

Anyway, it's lovely out there right now! Pure sun & nice and hot, especially when sitting out in it.

Yesterday on the news it was like CONTACT NHS DIRECT IF YOU FIND IT HOT, DO NOT GO OUT IN THE AFTERNOON, INFACT DO NOT GO OUT AT ALL EVER.

I'll go out whenever and do whatever the hell I want in this weather, it's not MEGAAAAAAAAAAAAAA hot anyway.

Well the advice isn't for people like you, you don't have to follow it, and I still fail to see how the Met Office issuing a 'heatwave' warning equals a nanny state...

The warnings are for the vulnerable who are affected by the heat, such as the elderly and babies. Most people aren't used to hot temperatures in the 30s and we aren't adapted for it like other countries are.

& it's probably not 'mega' hot where you are because the highest temperatures are in London/South East. It hasn't reached 30 degrees since 2006.
