It's not a remake of the Korean film, it's an adaptation of the manga series.

Yes, but it's essentially a remake - it's still the story minus certain elements.

The Korean film is only loosely based on the manga, so Spielberg's adaptation will be vastly different. For example, the Korean films story greatly revolves around incest, but there is no incest in the manga. That's how different it is. Spielberg's Oldboy will have nothing to do with Park Chan-wook's Oldboy. The first twenty minutes might be a tiny bit similar, but that will be it. It's not a remake, it's just using the same source material. It's like saying Peter Jacksons's Lord of the Rings trilogy is a remake of the 1978 animated Lord of the Rings movie. It's clearly not, they're just both movies adapted from the same books.

It isn't a sequel and it's completely unrelated to Spielberg's War of the Worlds. It's a mockbuster by The Asylum; nothing more, nothing less.

The force field stopepd the birds landing on them, so when they were perched ontop of them it showed the shields were down.

I'm not sure how I feel about this film. Such a mighty force killed by bacteria.. wow.
Sounds like someone wants to get.... funky.
