I have 6 computers in my house. Personally speaking my Uncles house has over 15 laptops and at least 50 pc's - not going into details why.

The number I now own has gone up. I now own 5 - got a Pentium III box I blagged for free off of someone that was binning it.

Like david, I don't sell my machines. Our computers usually go through this timescale

Brand new as a family PC
years later on, HDD fails, used as excuse to buy new family PC
HDD replaced in old PC, I get it for my room
years later, I get the old family PC that replaced the one I'm using
The original new one goes to grans. LOL

    Custom Desktop
    MacBook
    Samsung Q1 Ultra
    Custom Server
Some old MSI thing I run Ubuntu on to compile Android

    Overall in our house... 11
