Eastenders baby plot

This storyline makes me sad, not because of the baby's death, because I like Kat and Alfie and how they were really happy and stuff ;_; I hope they get Tommy back in the end, and it isn't one of those storylines that gets found out in like ten years time or something stupid like that

They were originally going to drag the story on for a bit, but because of pathetic people, they have announced that the storyline will finish early

Also charlie is the worst ******* actor ever, he needs to be bumped off soon

This whole storyline has been blown WAY out of proportion. The whole "they're making cot death victims look mental" thing is ridiculous. Ronnie's actions stem from her as a character not as a result of the cot death. That argument is stupid because Kat is handling it with dignity. I just don't get people's problems. The swap isn't being used as a sensationalist story, it was put in place for the spiralling of Ronnie's character and subsequent exit storyline. Now months of scripts and filming will go out the window due to 6,000 people with nothing better to do. No doubt they didn't see the show!! It's the whole Ross/Brand Sachsgate incident all over again.

Also, nobody complained a few months ago when Carol Jackson spent an entire episode hugging the dead corpse of her child. Nothing was in the media. It's all stupid because now we're gonna end up with poor storylines because they've had to rush them through.

I totally agree. I was listening to Bryan Kirkwood's interview and he said that the whole "baby cot death" idea was recommended by consultants like 9 years ago and since then they were planning to find a suitable time to use that storyline, so literally, years of ideas, months of scripts, hard-work dedication is wasted. I just find it said that they wanted to use this storyline and were keeping it and hoping for something big, yet pathetic people complain about it. Its a bloody soap, what do you expect? If you don't like it, fine, don't watch it, its not like they are being forced and tbh if I was Bryan Kirkwood, I would literally tell all the people that complained to stick their complaints where the sun doesnt shine. Dont like it? Dont watch it.

Because the actress who plays Ronnie didn't like the actress who played Danielle so got her axed like she did with the actress who played Suzy Branning lol

*REMOVED* lauren crace (danielle) was only on a 6 month contract. if you watched the eastenders special aired after it about ronnie and roxy (or something) you would know that a producer or someone said how once she (ronnie) had life sorted, they wanted to take it all away again, or something like that. I guess its a similar idea this time.

I guess some people find it quiet disturbing to watch, but it's a shame the storey has to be ended early after all the efffort thats gone into making it.

I don't think its fair to call Ronnie cruel, I think maybe something more along the lines of mentally unstable... She hasn't harmed the child and she has taken good care of him since she has stolen him, I don't agree with what she has done, but you have to remember shes suffered a hell of a lot of bereavement over the last few years. I think the storyline of cot death is acceptable as this is something that happens, however the stealing of the baby isn't something we hear about or associate with cot death so I think thats what has angered a lot of people. Don't get me wrong though, I have found it hard to watch and it had me slightly emotional at certain points!

Samantha Womack who plays Ronnie is a fantastic actress in my opinion. I hope they give her a good exit, but they better not make it any better than Lacey Turner's as she is the real East End star in my opinion, amazing actress!

I must say as well, this storyline has impressed me as I've seen Shane Richie do some serious acting! He is great as the comedian of the show but it is nice to see the otherside of him at times.

I hope they don't kill Ronnie off! God imagine that, some life she'd have had!

Samantha Womack, Jessie Wallace and Shane Richie have all blown me away. Knew Sam and Jessie were good but Shane been a real revelation.
