You poor thing! Atleast he isn't in pain anymore. Pets really do become part of the family and it's horrible to loose them. Same thing happened with my old cat, she was 17 and i had grew up with her, its upsetting thinking about them not being with you anymore but atleast they are at peace xx

Sorry to hear about your cat. I never had a cat but I had a dog who had to be put down couple of years ago and I feel your pain. I had my dog for about 7-8 years too I got another dog soon after and it was the same breed and I love her (A)

Ben, have you thought of doing a memorium to your cat? Maybe buying a plant to remember him by or making a scrap book? Something that will last through time.

Seek comfort in the memories you hold of him, and know he isn't suffering anymore. Losing a cat you've known throughout the beginning of your life is hard, but at least you have many memories and spent so much time with him

Don't you worry about it, he/she will be in Kitty heaven! My dog got put down when I was 4 and he was really the only pet I ever loved. When I used to cry he would sit next to me and lick my hand. He was having fits and he kept falling down the stairs. I didn't really know he was so ill but I saw him fall down the stairs once and my mum wouldn't tell me what was up. I came home and he was just gone, my mum said he wasn't in pain any more, brings me to tears even today as I'm writing this.

Obviously you'll be upset but try to think that your cat will be happy and now you've got a little guardian angel, it's only natural to cry and be upset, hope this helped a bit with getting over it a bit.

My friends cat had this I think and she was a bit upset but she's a bit better now, she knows he's in a better place.
