I agree with this. If you do it for Japan you have to do it for pretty much every country that experiences a fatal disaster.

    I mean it's a good idea, I'd buy some.

I think this too... We're not entirely sure how much damage has been done, and if the Japanese would want help so soon after the disaster. They are quite a rich nation, indeed, but any help is useful - it just depends if they need it immediately

you won't need funding for education from the government (not the best example) however, that is just a bad attitude to have. Sorry if I sound very aggressive but that is a pity that someone has that attitude to such a globally effected disaster
Richer than most of the other countries that could and maybe effected soon, not to mention they've not made any immediate cries for help like New Zealand.

Everyone says "every little counts" I don't see how 100quid could help them in the slightest when they are actually receiving help from like 45 other countrys.

I think vip is the main reason for this thread, people who actually want it just want vip. Otherwise they'd just go to a website supporting Japan and donate.

Interestingly, donating to official organisations linked to the disaster would mean more money going to the cause, some have dramatically reduced text rates and admin handling charges, so officially going to the British Red Cross would be wiser.

Japan is the third largest economy in the world, disregarding the EU.

Japan ARE actually up there with the richest considering their technical prestige. They may be small but they are VERY advanced and rich.

Anyway, I'm going to be honest. I wouldn't buy it. I don't have the money and if I did I'd probably donate it to the Red Cross because I think it's pointless.

If you really want to help then donate directly. You should donate because you want to, not because you get VIP for it.

And even so, if it does happen, why didn't it for Haiti last year? Or New Zealand?

i don't think i'd buy it - it's unfair that we could have donator for Japan but not for every other natural disaster that has happened around the world

if i'm going to donate, i'll donate directly to them not via a forum

I think we've all guessed that everyone only wants to do it for the vip and nothing else. I don't reckon anyone has clicked the links oli posted and donated any amount of money so yeah, it aint happening so you guys without vip are gonna have to wait until xmas or think of a better way to get vip

am I really gonna do this?
