Are you sure this wasn't the DVLA? It's unlikely an insurance company did that, there's more evidence that the DVLA got involved or did the investigation as they're the ones that hold the licenses for the cars. An insurance company are only going to care if a claim has been taken out, they won't bother hiring investiagors for new or renewed policies when doing so means they're wasting money and chasing something that could be harmless. They only care if the vehicle is in an accident, it's what they're there for. The DVLA are the ones that do ongoing investigations into cars![]()
