If I work 6 hours I get an hour if I work a full day I get 15 mins then an hour then another 15 mins but it varies from company to company.

First 11 hour shift I got 30 mins (illegal I believe).
    Second 11 hour shift I got 3 x 15 minute breaks.

    Worst thing that's happened:

I transferred store 3 week ago, on that weekend I had an 11 hour shift then a 4 hour one - Friday on next week when I should be paid, nothing went in my bank, told Assistant Manager and she said I'll get put on system.
Next Friday I get one payment, thinking it was from one weekend I did - wrong, it was holiday pay from my old store. Turns out my old Manager hasn't sent my contract off so it's like I don't even work for the company, but got holiday pay and I didn't know I was down for that much.
Anyway, might have to have an induction again.

Overall if this weeks doesn't go in I'll be losing over £200.

Well in my new induction I'm going to set it straight that I'm contracted to SIXTEEN HOURS not twelve they've pined me off with for the next three weeks.

i'm a warden for my uni accommodation, where do i start?

    - when people come to my flat at 2am asking for the master key to get in their flat, IM NOT AT WORK SORT IT

    - when people tell me their taps have broken and expect me to fix it there and then - i'm not a plumber!

    - when your colleagues grass you up to your boss via email and don't delete the email...

    - when people dismantle their fire alarms which sets the alarm off automatically and expect you to fix the issue, yeah that **** costs money to fix as you've damaged your flat

    i could go on

i hate people who don't return phone calls, don't answer their phones, don't answer e-mails, or answer them late. I also hate unprofessional emails, when people text me for work, ask me for my bbm to contact me. i also hate being on the road now because i have to eat such **** food it makes me fat, makes my car smell and makes me smell so i have to douse my self in cologne to cover the smell up. it's ******* ****. MY NUMBER ONE PET PEEVE IS WHEN PEOPLE GO TO ANSWER PHONE AND HANG UP.....
I'm at a point in my life where I don't care if you like me or you don't. If you like me, cool. If you don't, meh.

working in retail really has heightened my hatred of people. more so when i worked on checkouts, loads of little things just add up. (the amount of people that treat you like you're stupid because you work in a shop is unreal.) although, working in the cafe part is equally as bad. alot of people seem to enjoy making your life difficult, and i don't know why people expect us to just make what they want, there's a menu for a reason, and it's only a supermarket cafe ffs.
