i used to have high standards for what i wanted in a relationship, not physically considering ive not had a specific type other than dark hair lol. i dropped all the expectations and hopes i had after realising my perfect man doesn't exist and thought it was time to let whatever be and luckily found someone who had many of the traits i did want  @Inseriousity.; i WILL out lame you)

but standards are diff for everyone, ive only ever known one guy id have given more than a 7 for looks lol but ive had low standards in the sense ive went for people who would hurt me etc cause of my low self-esteem.... not lowering my standards in that sense ever again. only going for a guy who worships the ground i walk on.

that's cos you find it hard to believe anyone could be cheesy about you with compliments like that. You see what you want to see and find it difficult to expect anyone to see you differently! do you have self-esteem problems or is this therapeutic ********

I've always firmly believed in not judging someone by their looks, and because of that I think that my 'standards' might be objectively low.

Personality is so much more important to me, and whilst it does bug me a bit sometimes if my partner is less attractive (mainly due to people saying 'omg you deserve better, someone hotter') it really doesn't matter.

Beauty is all in the eye of the beholder, anyway, and not an objective measure. People who I think are extremely attractive other people might not.

Not to mention the fact that a good personality somehow makes men more attractive to me.

no what i meant is when scott says something cheesy to me we often get "ew" or whatever whereas you get "aw" and "so cute". different 'friendship groups' i guess. i personally like it when he says cute things and when other couples do to each other but i tell him to shut up when it's done publicly cause of the reactions we get lol probably shouldn't get bothered over what other think
