    the other week I was on the bus and the driver was driving really stupidly and he had to break quickly and a womans pram with the baby in it flew down the bus it was awful to watch

    I only say thank you if I've ran and they waited for me, which isn't very often since most bus drivers round here just drive off once you get to the doors.

    Yep, don't see why I not. Polite thing to do really, well unless he/she isn't an absolute ***** then it's a different answer altogether.

    I haven't got a bus in years but when I did I always, always said thank you. You think of the amount of rude people they have to put up with each day, it's no wonder they are sometimes a bit grumpy. I don't like being one of those rude people so I always make the effort to say please and thank you wherever and whenever. Walking past the bus driver and stepping off the bus without as much a simple 'thanks' is nothing more than plain ignorance
