Working in the department and hosting events in my eyes shows commitment to hxe. Being in the department means you already know all of your staff members so you can jump straight on to the job and writing the job. This is why I am happy that the job has stayed within the department and has been given to someone who had relationships with all staff members.

End of the day he had an application different to others, filled with ideas, and one of the very few that didn't just give thoughts about what was wrong with the department but also ways to IMPROVE the department that all of us actually considered to be things we could implement and keep going.
