I'm pretty sure they've been moved into spam for the past 9 years without it being an issue...

That rule is fine

It is not allowed to post pointless posts or threads like "aifdhgsdfhgsdo" or numerous threads which essentially "spam" the New Posts search.

Well you aren't allowed to post numerous threads? That rule is enforced, it's just up to moderator discretion as to how many threads are too many.

So, really, with rules [3] and [5], why are threads not being removed from spam? The rules don't say 'If you make these threads, we will remove the post count for them by putting them into spam', the rules say 'Do not make these threads'...

I just wonder why some rules are followed and others are not

It's obviously an oversight. No major news here.
