???[15:35:35] laura: if you added it during the event that would have been OK - not the rules - but OK
[15:35:39] laura: adding at the end is a complete no go@JamesSparky; I would have allowed it to be booked at the end, but you didn't even ask that - when I said you would need to book it or face the points not counting you said "I don't care." so with that attitude, I'm sorry it doesn't wash. You could have got someone to post for you if you were too busy too, but at the end of the day it's been sorted now and it only takes a minute to book which could have been done between rounds. At least all staff members know now for future reference, I'm just glad it happened on day one as people might just have needed reinforcing on the rules.
I began adding all the points earlier, and I added near enough all the on air competitions then realised that they weren't booked. I double checked with Chris on whether they needed to be booked or not and got told yes, therefore I had to remove the points. If they were booked after the hour (before we found out) that'd have been fine, but unfortunately they weren't.
@lesbon; I was looking down the list as I knew you had booked some, I'll have a look again if you'd like me to. I was under the impression that the competitions you hosted didn't match the hours you'd booked for, so it could just be a misunderstanding there!
All staff members have now been PMed about it, and we shouldn't have problems like this for the rest of HxSS hopefully! It is a shame that people lost out on points because of it, but it's in the rules that you need to book. If anyone wans to contact one of us about it though we will look into it no problem. Also, we've included that instead of the 10 minutes after the events due to start you can book, for the duration of HxSS this has now changed to half hour as it can be difficult if you have a busy room!
I believe all teams didn't gain points due to that, and there are now underhand tactics going on - just rules that shouldn't be broken.
i think general management all have different ideas about how this event is going to run???
It's ok to change events half way through them without warning but not to do a comp that everyone knows you're gonna do *+*+*+*+*
mess
Let's make it clear, all events need to be booked in advance of them being hosted.
As James seemed confused and there were a lot of players, Sam gave him the opportunity to post late into his event, but this is not a regular thing - especially now a PM has been sent to all staff letting them know the rules crystal clear. It was just that one instance so we didn't waste people's time hosting or playing, unfortunately the event still wasn't booked after the warning was sent.
Let's just forget what happened and move on from here in, it's been raised in public, everyone knows the rules and there are no more excuses. Noone is at a massive disadvantage because of it, you've still got 13 days to make up the few points that you left!
Ross' event changing halfway through was done the right way: the community asked for something, he, after being reminded, contacted an AGM (specifically community agm which makes it even better), the CNB was changed and a lot of people were told through the message system. Bish bash bosh.

What we're 4th instead of 1st because of it I'd call that a disadvantage
It's not like points aren't being counted...
i just think its unfair tht u have taken them 200 points away from me! the fact that hardly no dj's booked yesterday shows there was lack of communication in the department. as a user and a player in this torni, why should i be effected by this?
