Pretty sure there's a box you can tick on your profile if you don't want to have snow

think it was also changed to only have snow on christmas/winter themes

It's already been answered for you but yeah, under UserCP there's normally a box giving you the option to turn off the falling snow. Same goes for Habbox.com too (or so there used to be).
