**** awful Portugal was one of the worst and the juries somehow buggered everyone but I was hopeful that the civilian vote would show some semblance of taste, but no Europe is shit and I hate them all forever, hopefully the Portuguese economy carries on being terrible so it's cheap to go there

Very surprised /that/ song won, mainly because the guy performing it was so...weird. Though I mean not the worst song of the night tbh :S

We were completely robbed and genuinely deserved left of leaderboard.

Germany didn't come last though I mean, they're the real heroes x

I've seen literally 2 people say they like Portugal I'm so confused how they won the popular vote. I get the jury vote cos musically speaking, I think it's a very lovely song.

They got televotes from every country even - the minimum they got was 5, which is just huge compared to previous years.

It really sticks out compared to the rest of the field and that's had a huge impact on results before (Lordi, Russian grannies), and to get so high in so many jury votes really won the competition for them.

Didn't think we'd see one of the big 5 or isolated countries win for a long time though so genuinely fascinated by this result!
