Ekelektra's Turkey didn't have it in them to stave off a strong Italian attack from Chipmunks, losing 3-0 in the opening match of the tournament.


Samantha's Welsh dragons came up against Shannon's Swiss cheese, with the game ending 1-1 and each team going home with a point.


LUCPIX's Denmark were unlucky to suffer an extremely worrying injury to their talisman player which should have caused the game to be postponed, however they carried on and lost 1-0 to Danny's Finland team.


The powerhouse of Belgium under welshcake took on Ruth-On-Toast's Russian contenders, who weren't up to the job: a comfortable 3-0 to Belgium.


Is it coming home? Chloelou's England team saw off Kelky's Croatia in a nailbiting 1-0 victory to the Three Lions, the first time England have ever won their first game at the Euros.


Austria went out strong under Oivind, taking on Triz's North Macedonia (the lowest ranked team in the entire tournament) who nearly forced a draw but lacked energy in the last 10 minutes: 3-1 to Austria.


Conor's Netherlands team made it hard for themselves against RichBoiSam's Ukraine, throwing away a 2 goal lead but nabbing a winner in the dying minutes to go 3-2 up.


Scotland under NattyNatNat were brave but not good enough on the day, a couple of major errors causing them to lose 2-0 to tbl's Czech Republic and giving us potentially the goal of the tournament already.


Poland have one of the finest strikers on the planet right now, but mardytar's boys were caught off guard by underdogs Slovakia, with hola. taking a 2-1 victory.


The-Dream07's Spanish side took on Its.Dino's Sweden in the first "bore-draw" of the tournament: 0-0 and a disappointing all round performance from both teams.


This afternoon jamiexo's Hungarians spent 84 brave minutes fending off lawrawrrr's Portuguese heavy hitters... and then conceded 3 goals in 8 minutes.


katejw's France finished the first round of games playing the Germans of lucyecc, a true battle of the titans that bizarrely was decided only by an early own goal from a German defender: 1-0 to France.
