WWE used Cult of Personality for Steve Austin didn't they when he was being inducted into the HoF?

Interesting how you compared CM Punk to Austin in a previous post. Both CM Punk & Austin said they want to wrestle each other and I can see it.

Austin vs Punk is my dream match, **** rock/cena.

Anyway, I just had an idea. Haitch comes out every show, tells Cole he has a match and has left some gear in the back for him. The gear will be from various wrestlers and Cole will come out to their theme songs and do their signature entrance.
Followed by a 1 minute squash match of course. I think it'd be great.

In the heat of the moment, as a big Rey mark, I was furious about Cena winning the title - but it makes all the sense in the world to further the Cena/Punk storyline. Rey did what he had to do, and it was a pretty good match.

When Cult of Personality hit I knew it was Punk as he used it back in his ROH days, and my god did I mark out. Brilliant. Just brilliant.

J.R. picked up on the rumours (which are new to me) of Austin vs. Punk.

"Do I think an Austin vs. Punk match would ever happen? Same old story, never say never. Punk would love it and Austin likely would as well if all the pieces fell into place such as Steve's professional schedule, etc. I don't know the answer but right now I'd say it's somewhat of a long shot."

Austin will be a part of Mania, he always is. He's as much as a legend as Dwayne in my eyes. Hell he even changed his name, legally, to his ring name. Dedication.

I hope they're going all out next year, they've already made a dream match. How about a dream card?
