I could see Mercedes breaking away from McLaren if the Mercedes team gets more success. Do Mercedes still own shares in McLaren?

They have less than 10% I believe. I reckon McLaren will sell it and form another partnership with another company in the future. Possibly even BMW, given a history of Le Mans. Although it would be years before that happens.

Black and Red are McLaren's colours as you'd like, the same as red is Ferraris.

I've been doing some more 'research' and it looks like McLaren may start making their own engines.

Nope. I really hope they ditch the chromium style. It was exciting when it was first released but it is getting a bit boring now and its being put to shame by other constructors. Hopefully, they'll have a black car

It's pretty much all speculation, McLaren tend to always launch their 2011 challenger a day after Ferrari which is in January. Not too long to wait

No black to two black, both with a hint of red from sponsors.

Only problem is, they'll look like Virgins.

They might just be using black for merchandise.
