You do know that being around for 20 years has nothing to do with talent now right?

Agreed. Emo music is soo stupid. It takes no talent. Your right, people in there 20's who whine about Not getting what they want. Boo hoo. Anybody who likes emo music, is probably just going along with what everyone else likes. Bobba you jashmine.

I Used to think Emo music was the pooest music of all, But then i started actually listen to it than misjudging it everytime i heard it, I think i spelt misjudging wrong
    Anyways....
I started listening to it more and more and now i much more prefer it than R&B
    I still like R&B though

in terms of the whole emo genre of music, I like alot of it as long as the lyrics are meaningful - not just some whiney band in the states singing about hacking away at their wrists because they didn't get a date for the prom.

I think alot of people in this thread haven't actually LISTENED to the genre of music 'emo' and are just basing their assumptions on the the stereotype of an 'emo' in todays society.

    Woah, what a lame comment.
Is that your claim for trying to act more up to date than everyone?
Before you make a statement like that, realise that it's reached peak popularity in recent times.
    "OMGZ IT BEEN AROUN 4 20 YRS MAN U GUYZ R SLOW!1!"
Yes but it's a phase people are going through now, if you can prove to me emo has been famous as a genre for that long.
Also as I hear the new music people call "emo" doesn't actually bear any resemblance to the original music released in the genre.
