Personally, I feel that without Halo, other developers wouldn't have been interested in taking a risk with the Xbox. Luckily, Halo got rave reviews and became the console's flagship system seller. With a fairly large installed userbase, this gave developers a reason to make games for the system. Unsurprisingly, companies looked at who'd bought the Xbox, and given the fact that most did so because of Halo, decided that the demographic they had to appeal to was full of FPS players. Hence why the Xbox is the system to go with for shooters.

But if Halo was so good, wouldn't other console want to get a deal with the developers, like Xbox did with Rockstar?

I really do think the Nintendo Wii is much better. I just love the controller.

I usually prefer playstation so not sure.

Of course Sony would love to have Halo on their system, but Microsoft bought Bungie back in 2000.

I disagree [as usual]. If the wii can sign a few shooting deals [Its started with red steel] It will be the console to go for shooters.

I just owned some1 theyre like lower ps3 model does have HDMI output and im like no it doesnt so i showed em gamespot and theyre like they made that up you n00b its not official so i found it on the PS3 site

The PS3 looks good, but really just a repeat with some new memory and bigger database. They need a much better online system cause when Halo 3 hits the shelf.... all there online games... will be forgotten.

Perfect Dark on the N64 was also an amazing game. Nothing of note on the Gamecube though. I think developers will utilise the Wii though; Call of Duty 3 is already being made for the console as a potential launch title.

I agree It looks like Sony is going to be copying the Xbox's functionality though. They've already announced their online system, and there are even rumours of the Xbox's achievements making appearances under the name "Entitlements".
