i voted yes. i'll explain my reasons for doing so below.
Sex should only be used to start a family really. Obviously, there are some rewards for both parties in this but contraception is wrong (in my eyes anyway). If you love each other so much to have sex, why don't you want to start a family? Okay, i'm going to get some replies such as "what if there's financial problems?" but can't you just wait until those problems are gone or do you have no self control?

So you think if you just go out and hook up with some random and have pointless sex before marriage, it's alright? If so - then you can't have very many standards and morals in your life.

I agree with that, can't really add more than that.

Therefore, in this particular case, although I am supposed to think it is wrong, I actually believe in sex before marriage. I think if you lose your virginity to someone who you believe is your soulmate, and who you trully love but perhaps your not able to marry them yet due to circumstances you are in, eg. age, parents, where you live etc. - then it's alright.

I agree with that to a point. I think that you need to have some sort of commitment before having sex. If you know this is who you're going to spend the rest of your life with this person, you go girl/boy!! But age? I don't believe you could make an informed decision about sex at below 16 really.

Nothing up with it, you only live once so why bother getting married and devoting yourself to one person who will probably end up divorcing you anyway (More marriages break up now than ever before) :p

Marriage is a good thing, but sleeping with someone before marriage isnt a crime. I mean I belive in cohabitation before marriage so you know what it's like to live with a person before you marry them, surely if you are living with someone you think you love you are going to sleep with them.

My personal view is that you should be able to do it when you are ready. If you have been together a while, and you wish to take part in an act that really seals your love for eachother; why should you have to wait to sign a piece of paper to do it?

What about pleasure? How is contraception wrong. What if you have hiv does that mean you can never have sex? Contraception is a safety method to prevent both children and dieseases / infections. Thats basically saying all medicenes that help people live but can prevent women from having children are wrong too.

How is sex a way of devoting? What if you think you love that person at the time then something happens? Nobody has said sleepin around okay. However, under the influence of alchohol it is hard to control yourself!

What do you expect them to use it for? What if 2 people love each other but aren't ready for a family just yet? Killing somebody is taking away a life. Using protection is simply stopping / delaying what might be in the future.
