buryed = 100's of years for decompostion.
cremated = instant decomposition.
So crimated givs back to the earth just as much, just alot faster

Umm how would you actually know how many times it happens??

Because for one thing you have your funeral about 3-4 days after you are dead so they will be sure you are dead then and another thing is that you go to the chapel of rest for family/friends to visit your body and I am fairly sure they would notice if you are dead durrh.

Adding to Eamonns point, when you are dead they put you in a freezer in the hospital (not literally a freezer but like a cold area/room or something) So if you were alive you'd notice because it'd be erm cold?

Hence having a deadlike appearance and if you were comatose you wouldn't feel the cold of a freezer.
