I love Mario games but tbh they are the same over and over again, just different graphics really, Mario sunshine was different but I don't think people liked it, Super Mario 64 looks awesome (I've never played it) but that's only because it's Mario in a whole new way, now they're just better versions of previous ones

GTA is sort of the same but it's intresting, different storys in every game, different locations (mostly) and it has so many features that most games do not allow you to do, plus it's one of them games that sort of brings 360 and PS3 fans together because it's on both consoles

Super mario 64 was different as it was in 3D
Super mario sunshine was different with the Fludd
Super mario Galaxy is different with the crazy gravity and controls etc.
They are also in different locations. The other mario games arent real mario games though [although they are good] just like liberty city stories wasnt a real gta.

Yea but if you remember, Sunshine wasn't exactly popular when it was released, a hell of a lot of people didn't like it, changing the controls hardly makes a game different though, Super Mario 64 was the most original in my opinion, the original game was just duplicated hundreds of times and 64 is going through the same thing, Super Mario DS, exactly like 64 but a different story, sunshine is the same but you get the water cannon thing, and come on, imagine playing mario with the Wiimote, it probably wont be easy, GTA changes almost every game, not controls wise but they add new features like VCS they made the business system which was tons better than the gangs in SA, in SA they made flying possible and GTA 4 expects to have even more stuff we don't see in other games
