That thread was not what got 3 bars of reputation removed, the fact that you had gained 3 bars of reputation in such a short space of time was what raised my suspicions and once I checked through your reputation for the last month I had to remove them. If you had genuinely earned all the reputation none of it would have been removed, this includes rep power gained through posts and being registered on the Forum for a period of time.

dont you think my idea (second one of my posts in huge font) would have been a better idea?

everyone with a high rep power obviously has pointless reps so whys it just a select few of us that get it removed just because our power has gone up quickly?

surely you should investigate every person with a high rep power as most of their points would be given to them in hope for a return one, making them pointless

a better one than you are now. lost-shark has like 3 rep power and im sure you didnt get all those lovely green blocks for non-pointless reps.

I did answer, I said that I must not have seen it accidentally, regardless of what was edited in that thread it was not that thread that resulted in downfall losing 3 rep power.

Rep power that's earned through those means are taken into account although they are not shown as reputation that has be earned in the AdminCP, if that had occurred to any user I would have been aware of it and after investigating the users reputation I would have taken that into account and removed a lot less reputation as there should have been a lot less pointless rep if the user had gained 2 rep power through posts and registration time.

If I receive pointless rep I have to remove it, its against Habbox Forum Rules, this includes positive rep. Earlier today I removed a +rep point received from Lost-Shark because he was just spreading it around.

I think if an announcment was made and something was sorted for example.

From now on any pointless rep WILL be removed. And any previous rep will stay will stop all this nonsence.

I will give Nick his due, as it would be hard having lots of members moaning at him.

that was my suggestion but hes just gone straight in and took loads off us =/

if you could give back what youve taken and then apply that rule (the one above in red) i wouldnt have any problem at all

As I said to you in the PM, I will gradually be running through the majority of users with ridiculously high rep power. You even said it yourself, it took me 1 hour 15 minutes to deal with your reputation alone, imagine how long it will take to deal with users of a much higher reputation level.
I will not be penalising any individual users in regards to this, cracking down on pointless reputation has become one of my top priorites.

How am I supposed to prove you right or wrong on that second point, I would need to quote all reputation I've ever received, not only would that take a long time but it would also be against Habbox Forum Rules to post them on the Forum. Furthermore, I have only reversed any pointless reputation gained in the past month, I haven't received much reputation in the past month, in fact, the last large group of rep I gained was from my most recent theme room thread which was posted at the end of August.
Also, the Admins are happy, they were the ones that initiated the crackdown on pointless rep.

Thanks for pointing that one out, its not the most convenient of situations and the only way to change it is to raise flags and make us aware of issues, which you have done here and you've even suggeted a way of fixing it. Commendable indeed, we are always looking for ways to improve. Although there would have been a much easier and more convenient way to sort this out via PM and not get the entire Feedback section involved.
I'll be sure to pass on the idea and see what can be done about it.

i happen to know how much i had before this happened ad i took a screenshot just before you started removing it, but you could probably check and give back what was taken if this idea comes into play.
