why are ginger haired people shunned?

Humm, its all the boring brown haired people who start it all off.
They call Gingers "Strange", "Odd" and "Freaky" and they call blondes thick.

In the end, I just say to my self, its not my problem, its other people who have the problem. and in the end, its a bloody hair colour.

i watched this programme and 8/10 women surveyed said they wouldn't date a ginger haired guy, poor poor things.

I saw a documentry once called "F#%K OFF IM GINGER" or somthing, this guy trying to find out why people with ginger hair are "shunned". It was on BBC3 i think. It was worth watching...

That makes no sense (the bit in bold). Brunette and blond are a type of hair colour which is what ginger is... And ginger is a type of colour outside of hair, I think it's other name is burnt orange or something. ANd when you call someone blond, that is short of 'blond haired person' which is like calling someone ginger, which is short for ginger haired person. People offend the person, not the hair.

You're right, our hair wouldn't be offended, as that's what it is, people do it to try and poke fun

I'm not ginger but I get called it. People tend to pick up on the tiniest hint of ginger and claim you got hair like Chris Evans or Ariel the Mermaid.
