My dad passed away December 1st, and from experience I really do not know what to say other than keep those with you, now, close and talk to them The good memories will over-rule the bad (if any) and just remember that she went peacefully and isn't suffering anymore.

Went to dinner round friend of families

I feel that i am starting to realise that my mum will never come bak but she will always be in my heart, i carry round a picture of her and me at legoland wereever i go.

Say how much of a good person she was, Maybe say something that was memrable to you and her which was like special in a way

Find a theme and work around that. A theme could be why she was a good mother and expanding that like how caring she was etc. Or find something people remember her by. At my dads funeral my brother worked around my dad's smile which everyone knew him for. Maybe you could find something like that?

Thats really upsetting I know you may not want pity at times like this, but im sure there are many people here for you, friends and family members.

I think your idea for charity work i an excellent idea. The main thing is to get your school/work/college involved and do some things to help raise money. Simple things as non-uniform days, making cakes, even doing raffles and small competitions can raise a lot of money.
When i was at school, we done many different things. One of which was a brilliant night when we done teachers vs pupils. This involved instrument playing, singing, even things like chess games were a popular hit.
If you need any more ideas im sure your boss/ lecturer / tutor / teacher will help
