Here's how MMOCCForum works. They are all in the same boat as you so they can't say "FAIL" as that means theirs is likely too as well. So they have to lie to keep their hopes and dreams alive.

MMOCC's only work if you have the time, money and work force. BittyBay is the most recent new comer to get anywhere. However they don't have the money to get the game into the eye's of the world. You need hundreds of thousands of pounds to launch a successful marketing plan. Word of mouth is obviously and always will be the best way to market something. However it's not the quickest. Places such as MySpace first started with "word of mouth" marketing and that took them 3 or 4 years to hit the big time. If you want to make it a success I suggest the following;

1. Change the name, it's too long and the smooth bit I don't get. Are all the stone's smooth in this park? Only good thing about the name is it's initials are SSP which is Scottish Socialist Party
2. Get an amazing team of staff (paid if possible) to get the site and client moving.
3. Generate enough cash to get it out into the main stream WWW.

I'm sure, considering they're making a profit as an organization, they could be shut down for not being registered and paying tax?

You have to earn over £6000 per year as a business before paying tax I think
