You don't need to see another persons work before they judge you. I've used this example before, and since people are so pathetic and low like you, I'll have to use it again:

The fact that you are arguing over criticism i find a wee bit strange, opinions are free to express. If you don;t like that, then don't post your designs on the forum. Also, if you are just going to say "That template sucks" or what ever, that isn't criticism thats just insulting. I am not taking any sides, but if either of you or any one else tries to attack me for posting this i couldn't care less, but please, save your petty arguments from the eyes of the general public.

Im sorry? I have been registered on here since 2006 and I only have 926 posts, where as you have been registered a little less than one month and you have 711. Thats 25 posts per day.

You can't say that other members have no social life, If I am lucky I make around 2-3 posts per week, if I feel like logging in. I normally just browse the forum.

I am not saying that older members are necessarily better than you, I am simply stating that wisdom comes with age.

I am not stating I can design well, but does that mean I am not allowed to pass comment and give criticism on other peoples work? I manage a reasonably successful small business and we have had a few requests for websites this month and one of our new projects are in development.

I do not take an active role within the designing as I know it is not a strong point of mine. I take a more active role within the management and the financial side.

It is a truly a terrible world we are living in if people are not allowed to pass judgment on other peoples work. I mean, thats like saying if I client comes to your website and says:

"I don't like this website. It was too hard to navigate and the font choice is truly awful. The colour scheme was way too vivid also."

Are you just going to turn around to them and say, Let me see some of your work before you pass judgment on mine?

I'm not messed up at all. Everybody has the freedom to express their opinions, they don't have to be an expert. This is not to say I'm terrible at design and development, I've been doing it for long enough.

Hey,

I have read this point but you have to learn to deal with harsh and controversial criticism. If you don't learn to accept that some people give it to boost what peoples work is like, then you have a long way to go.

I know that not all php.net says is harsh, however most of the time it is. Why does the mysterious force do it? Because he wants to push people, if not then they will continually publish and show the same drivel to everyone.

If people get angry and feel bad over criticism then they shouldn't post their work because a forum is a place for free speech and that is exactly what people will do.
