Okay, lets say you open your site and then myspace copy a feature, you think people will still believe the idea was yours?
No but at least we have proof of original idea so whenever people challenge our claims we can prove to them. It beats just being another MySpace copy![]()
You really think the average internet user cares about that?No but at least we have proof of original idea so whenever people challenge our claims we can prove to them. It beats just being another MySpace copy![]()
No disrespect to klydo but if myspace did decide to rip an idea they would make it 100x better with their coders and developers![]()
MySpace is the worst social network out at the moment, so I don't see that happening. They are nothing compared to Facebook, Bebo, Netlog and Virb. The only reason their popular is because they were first. Other than that they're crap.
@Simon; The main reason is if we're ever mentioned in reviews by professionals they'll know. It's not all about the average user.
I doubt it, the one positive thing I noticed about Klydo is greg and caleb seem to be perfectionists... even still, MySpace would still get all the credit.
@Kyldo's @Simon reply, but the thing is, your site is aimed at 13-21 year olds or whatever it is, not professionals. It is 100% about the average user.

The reason they are popular is because they're successful, and more successful than you'll ever be.
Time for some market research m'dear!![]()
You didn't understand the post at all I take it. They're only popular because they were first ones to make the social network "thing". Facebook have already caught up with them even though it's relatively new compared to MySpace, which shows MySpace doesn't have the features or user friendliness that others do. MS will soon be the under dog unless they realise their errors and start making an improvement to their site's layout.
@Ryan; it's not all about the average user since the majority of them have no direct access to large publishing organizations. Yes they can invite friends and so on but they can't write a piece which will be sold nationwide. Where as professionals can, such as writers from WebDesigner and .Net. If we can impress them then we can be mentioned in their magazines, which at least will gain us respect over MySpace if we had the feature first.
The good thing about myspace is that you can customize the hell out of it and the control panel. they have a profile editor and their introducing new features. just because they dont have applications doesnt meant they wont bring them out or that theyre badMySpace is the worst social network out at the moment, so I don't see that happening. The only reason I dislike MySpace is because its like REALLY hard to customize your profile.
