    so having 32 gb would wasts money and time, because te os would only ever use over 4/8 gb of ram.

    Vista home premium X64 can has a limit of 8GB RAM.

    Maybe it's a Mac? I know that the Mac Pro has the option of up to 32GB of RAM.

    You do realise even 8GB is overkill tbh...

    Also Vista Ultimate/Business/Enterprise can all go past 128GB Stephen

    Unless you're using a 64-bit OS and doing RAM intensive tasks, it is pointless to buy any more than 4GB in my opinion.
