Dogs and cats are cremated, although one of our cats was buried. Fish and hamsters are buried about 1/2 a foot deep. Not sure what happens to birds of prey though, I'm sure my brother keeps them frozen "/

Usually we bury them, I can't remember what my mum did with the fish though.

All my dearly beloved yet no longer with us pets have been cremated. Cept the gerbils i had when i was a kid which got eaten alive by the cat. and the goldfish i used to win at fairs which would die within a day and get flushed down the toilet.

See, I am a keen tropical fish keeper, and I consider them as real pets, so I bury them in the garden when they die. Mum thinks I should put fish in the toilet but I think thats disrespectful. With all pets, regardless of size, I would bury them in the garden. There's a little patch of garden where I can bury them, there's quite a lot there.

So, do you bury pets or throw them in the bin?

Not got a garden, I'd post them through someones letterbox, or hire a delivery man if they we're too big
