Habbo Fansites new rules!

Well, habbox has managed to survive being un-official for so long, doubt there's any need to actually stay official.

As I doubt MAD is running the sites solely to be recognised on habbo.

A way in which Habbos.net has gotten around this problem is quoted from their premium part of their site.


The fansite way has been introduced worldwide and them being official on 5 english speaking hotels as well as having Habbo Staff regularly using the forum. The donate option seems the only possible solution to resolve this problem. In simple terms, you are donating in order to benefit the upbringing of the site/forum and in return you receive a gift. This would be a special coloured name, reputation points etc. Another gift for donating could be a special mention on the main site which we know happens on many official fansites.

But then it would'nt be a donation if you recieve something in return :S, it would be more like a trade.

Simple... asked to be removed from official fansite list.

It's bull tbh what this scheme is turning into. Do you see other hotels following this system? no... coz even ex Sulake staff think its a stupid way of running the fansite system in the first place.

id say to sites like Clubhabbo/Habbox. Pick between 50 credits per month or a better income using forum VIP etc..

They can remove us if they like, but habbox wont just stand down.

well thats crap not allowing vip charges, I presume habbox don't have to follow this as habbox forum is a seperate website.

Guys, it has nothing to do with being official. Habbox is totally unable to offer a VIP service. Sulake offers Habbo fansites the use of Habbo related content - if you do not follow their policies, whether official or not, they can revoke this permit to use copyrighted material and you therefore cannot use any more Habbo trademarks or copyrighted material on your site.

With the rule about replication of Habbo services, this is the same! They are not claiming that they have any sort of intellectual right over scripts such as Habbo Homes, they are just stating the copyright usage can be revoked if you break their rules.

i know it's a bit extreme, but there's still a possibility, and then habbo will have to change the rules.

I'm still waiting for someone to break every single fansite way rule. All you need to do is make sure that you don't have any habbo images or any content which they write as that's all the fansite way is for.

The same goes for Habbo Fansites. If you want to use Habbo graphics on your site then you have to follow a simple set of rules; The Fansite Way.

It is stupid, it is like they wan't the sites that are trying hard to stay open to close, it seems it is ok for richkids with mummy and daddy funding their habbo fansites to stay open, but a site like habbox which relys on VIP for a source of funding is getting "shafted" by Habbo!
