china or russia
Russia, purely because the manpower and resources needed to invade the enite nation and eliminate any resistance and set it up as a secure nation would be immense.
You have to take into account that people will fight more fiercely defending their homeland and families. That not all nations are flat plateau's with paved roads and moderate weather for you to march your army across. The Americans in WW2 would have spent years and thousands more lives Island Hopping to get to the heart of Japan like they were doing.
I think I'm going to go with Israel on this one - if under attack very few nations would be able to cope with the heat, the terrain varies greatly and their intelligence services are one of the best in the world. Add all that to well trained troops with good modern equipment and a great patriotism, and you've got yourself a fairly solid enemy.
What about Russia? It is bloody cold during winter...Russia, purely because the manpower and resources needed to invade the enite nation and eliminate any resistance and set it up as a secure nation would be immense.

Germany will not be a strong country again I don't think!
Ukraine.
They're strong, because they're neutral.![]()
since when did Canada fight in ypres, the sommes or other WWI battles?everyone loves the numbers. they provide "an easy answer" that is not always necessarily correct.
first off, to confront the attitude that france is a weak country which it seems most british people have to some degree - incidentally, france is the strongest european nation when it comes to military strength. they have the largest, most intensely trained and best equipped army in all of europe.
second, it seems to be some sort of a fad that you guys are just picking up on that we need to all be scared of china and that they're going to take over the world. please, that was new about ten years ago when their economy first started picking up. china is powerful, and that is a given. in fact, individually they are arguably the most powerful nation in the world (but this is only arguable, and not fact). even if the thread is asking for a single country, china is a bit of a worldwide pariah and would be up against a force of nations that outpower them with ease. in addition, bigger is not always better. take belgium in world war two - such a powerless, defenseless nation was able to hold against the (huge, powerful) nazi army for days before they fell to hitler. china is not the be all and end all.
india is not powerful. they have an army that is about as effective as schoolboys through a two week training program equipped with some faulty rifles. they would have trouble going against a nation like pakistan - a country that is smaller but easily more powerful.
canada. granted, the canadians are known to have a small army and are generally the target of ridicule when it comes to military strength, the canadian army is one of the best trained armies in the world. canada has proven itself militarily time and time again throughout history. in either of the world wars, it was the canadian army that was able to win battles that neither the americans nor the british could win. take a look at the battles of ypres, the somme, vimy ridge, juno beach and the other highlights of canadian military achievement. not only that, but as far as a strategic nation physically, canada is probably the most important nation in the world. not only does canada hold control of one of the worlds largest supplies of oil, canada also has the largest supply of fresh (drinkable) water in the world (which is quickly becoming important). canada also holds control of the northwest passage, which is probably the most important shipping and military passage in history since the panama canal.
america seems to have suffered a lot of stigma since the begin of george w bush's presidency. without going in to any detail because you have all heard it before, america is still one of the most powerful, if not the most powerful nation in the world. poised to enter union with mexico and canada within the next fifty years, north america should not be discounted at any level. russia, on the other hand, is just beginning to flex their muscles since the fall of the soviets in the late eighties and early nineties. no one can be sure what to expect from them but it is certainly not a huge threat. their army has dwindled and they are dealing with one of the fastest shrinking populations in the world. their dated technology does not help them any either.
the bottom line here if a lot of people love to look at numbers and only numbers. sure, china has lots of fit to serve citizens. china also has lots of fit to serve underground resistance forces. just because germany was under the rule of the nazis during world war two does not account for the fact that thousands if not hundreds of thousands of germans opposed hitler and secretly sabotaged many nazi efforts across europe which was a great factor in the fall of nazi germany. there are many factors that play in to national power and just because china or russia have numbers on their side certainly does not guarantee either of them power of victory.

If it wasn't for the SAS, US military would be ****** right now, that was to Joshuae, in reply anyways.
I reckon China or Russia. But idk.
I think it takes 6 minutes for a nuclear weapon to go from Russia- USA or something ridulous like that. George Bush has someone following him wherever he goes, with 'that red button'.
