Well they have to change the storyline slightly due to the fact its not possible to retain all the information from the book.
They wouldn't change something like that which is so integral to the plot.
What they are doing however, and what has been confirmed by Warner Bros., is that they are adding a pacing scene which will portray how dangerous Voldemort is and its a scene that hasn't been adapted in any way shape or form from the books but has been thought up by the screenwriter.

Have to admit after watching that trailer its good if you have read the book because you know whats going on already in the trailer so it makes more sense if you think it looks good or not, if you get what I mean..
Don't think the trailer was very non-reader friendly though and the kid looks a really bad actor
The first two were very geared towards children, however as the films have progressed, the darker and more adult they have got. I will be impressed after reading Deathly Hallows if they manage to keep the movie version down to a 12A and still stay true to the book.

You can be assured that they will, cut it down as much as possible to obtain the certificate, and I'm sure that recent releases like Hancock, a 12A that should have been rated a 15, Potter won't have such controversial content by comparison.
Oh I know for sure that they will cut it down to 12A, Im not that stupid that I think they will cut out a key part of their audience - however I said if they stayed true to the book I doubt it would get the rating. Its because I was refuting your claims that it's a childrens series (which you based your decision on after watching one and a half of the soon to be Six Film Franchise) when a lot of the time it's anything but.

Or they could have the certificate 15A, they have that, I think...

However in Ireland they have G, PG, 12A, 15A, 16 and 18 - but that doesn't include Northern Ireland I don't think.
