Lets begin,

1. Your statistics

FILE HOST/LOAD TIME/AVG. SPEED PER KB? I find that quite a bit of nonsence as that is varied on how fast your internet connection is. Your website loads fast because it's an image layered by a ton of divs, which is effective but it looks tacky at the same time. Stripe overload much, but thats beside the point. What you displayed in those site stats is how fast the website loads. I do not care how fast the website loads, I care on how fast the files upload to the file server. That is what you have failed to do in this thread, and thus I ignore your stats completely as they don't show any speed benefit to your service.

2. The layout

In three words, what the hell. The site has literally no structure to it, information is littered across the webpage like you've taken no time in constructing what you're doing. Your share bar is distorted because you've tried to make it wider to fit the little box, a bad move. You are an upload service, not a full scale website. It looks more like the splash page, and you know what I think of splash pages? An unnecessary waste of space which irritates the user because they just want to do one thing, and in this case it's uploading files.

3. Upload service

You claim you've compared the speeds of each upload, but obviously you haven't as they are the website load times. There is no real benefit in your upload service whatsoever. In fact it just blends in the crowd, like your upload bar does in that website... Just blends in the crowd of images...

4. Your forms

You're a professional website, and you're using Wufoo forms. I question what skills you have, because forms are pretty simple to set up.

Conclusion

Anyone in their right mind will not use this service, because I find it an eyesore just to look at for 2 seconds. I have a feeling that your upload times are way longer than 2 seconds for a JPEG. Good luck in whatever you're trying to achieve with DownloadElite, but I don't see what you're trying to do, run a business for uploading or a website dedicated to looking like a tabloid newspaper with as many advertisements crammed onto the site as possible.

Take what I've said with a pinch of salt, and improve on it. Seeing your site now, and what you've said at the start of this thread, I don't see how you're going to compete with the upload services you've compared yourself to. Good luck.

Thanks a lot for your opinions, I do understand how you feel about DownloadElite.
All I can state is that I don't feel it is an advertisement crammed Tabloid Paper. I don't actually earn any Advertising Revenue at this time, these ads are simply courtesy of my friends and vpsWOW which is now hosting me.

As for Wufoo, I feel they are reliable and easy to make good looking forms in, and I don't understand any downsides, no matter how easy a form is.

Also, the Share Box is actual size, from AddThis.

This thread is undeniably getting older, and I would like to make as many Positive changes as possible in the future. Thanks a lot for your opinions.

The website is long updated from this, it's just not uploaded yet because it's not fully ready. I thank you for sharing these concerns, the vpsWOW Banner is considerably smaller, and the 2 ads are in tidier places, along with other additions.

The basics would be New Areas of the website, including Headers with little Pixel Buildings (or Departments as they'll be known) A nicer way to browse the site in General.
Some Domain Aliases to use.
New HTML to incorporate it.
Cleaner Text Ads, and a Code tidy up (DIV's Soon, I know Tables are awful now)
No Stats/Images/Donations.
Lite Mode for Slow Connections/Stripe Dislikers.
Usersystem.

All tomorrow probably.

i like the stripes tbh, its better than just having a plain layout. And Caleb why do you just have to pick at everyone else's websites. Tehupload is not the best on the internet at all ^^
