Anyway this is a comment on affinity's post and is not about the people in this thread or the thread that was started.

On Topic: I dont smoke cigarettes, I smoke weed occasionally and I use Golden Virginia tobacco in rollies when i do.

Im an idiot for smoking weed i know, but its better than drinking

Lol how is smoking weed better than drink?

weed messes with you brain and can cause schizophrenia and memory loss.

drinking can affect your liver but if you're a slow drinker then it's all good.

Cannabis is considered a semi psychoactive drug, and its effects on the brain are mediated through cannabinoids, most notably tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). In some areas of the world, medical cannabis is prescribed for nausea, pain, and alleviation of symptoms surrounding chronic illness, but its use remains controversial. Acute effects while under the influence can include euphoria, increased appetite, anxiety, short-term memory loss,[1] and circulation effects which may increase risks of heart attacks. Actually, weed causes those problems if you smoke it a lot, like every day.
However now and again it just relaxes you.

Drink on the other hand makes you aggressive and more likely to start fights. And you forget things too, such as what you just done with your phone etc and makes you more vulnerable.

So to be honest, in different ways they are as bad as each other.

Sadly still mayfair (normal) and about twenty a day, drinking about 30-40. Idk about the health side. What's the point of moaning over living longer when you're dead and you wouldn't know about what you would've lived anyway?

I hate to join the hated crew of non smokers, but I seriously don't understand why so many people on a teens forum smoke? I think it's really pathetic, I don't see the point. I also hate it when smokers say 'oh we should be allowed to smoke inside restaurants, pubs etc.' because actually, no you shouldn't. Why should us healthy non-smokers have to put up with your vile stench when we want to enjoy a meal/a drink. Most smokers are ignorant and don't care if other people (or children) have to put up with their second hand smoke and the disgusting stench of it. When I come back from my Dads my clothes stink of **** and everything just gets put in the wash (even if it's been washed before I come back).
    That went fast.

I for one am 18 which therefore makes me an adult who can legally buy and smoke cigarettes. Smoking is a habit that often starts in the teens and that would be why lots of people on this Forum smoke.

I think it's really pathetic, I don't see the point.
I'm not quite sure how you can consider it pathetic? It is my choice to smoke and I accept the risks that come with it - which is by no means pathetic. As a non-smoker you will of course not see the point, but to me it tastes nice, it has a calming affect (and don't say if I didn't smoke I wouldn't notice the difference, because one of the first times I smoked it was because I was stressed and I decided to try one and see how it would make me feel. It made me feel better.) and I enjoy it. I also consider smoking to be a social thing, I rarely smoke on my own and I have brilliant conversations with people I talk to in the smoking area at work. Not at all pointless to me?

I also hate it when smokers say 'oh we should be allowed to smoke inside restaurants, pubs etc.' because actually, no you shouldn't. Why should us healthy non-smokers have to put up with your vile stench when we want to enjoy a meal/a drink.
I was having this discussion with my dad and my step-mum the other day at my grandad's local. We put forward a simple question: if you had smoking pubs and non-smoking pubs, which ones would be busier? The answer is obvious. The smoking pubs would be busier. I also know a massive number of non-smokers who would like smoking back in pubs, so it can't be hated that much. I do agree with non-smoking in restaurants however. I think anywhere that food is consumed on a regular basis (not just a bacon sandwich ordered over the bar or w/e) should be non-smoking.

Most smokers are ignorant and don't care if other people (or children) have to put up with their second hand smoke and the disgusting stench of it.
I think it's actually quite rude that you would make a comment like that. It's a generalisation that smokers don't care if other people breathe in their smoke. Especially children. I have four brothers and sisters. Two of them young. When my mum and me smoke we always go outside; whatever the weather and whatever the situation. It is the same when I go to my nan's. I have a number of younger cousins and if they are there, we always smoke outside. Admittedly, there will be some smokers who aren't quite as tactful when it comes to their smoking habits. But there are idiots everywhere in the world.

When I come back from my Dads my clothes stink of **** and everything just gets put in the wash (even if it's been washed before I come back).
Your dad must either be chain smoking or not ventilating the house well enough. Because I smoke with my partner's mum in her dining room and none of us ever have that problem. I only had the problem of my clothes stinking of **** when I used to stick up skittles at my local pub years ago. The league my team was in was full of old men who smoked cigars and that did cling to my clothes, but that was about ten of them smoking at the same time and I wash my clothes after I wear them once anyway so it was never a problem.

weed cant kill you. alcohol can, and has killed thousands. alcohol impares your ability to drive, which is why people stress not drinking and driving far more than smoking and driving. alcohol is addicting. weed is not.
there are 20,000 alcohol related deaths per year in the united states.
no one dies from smoking weed and never will.
