9/11 wasn't a life changing moment to me. The people that fought the second world war changed my life immensely, and i honestly don't think they get the recognition. Their real heroes.

Because the attacks in London did not involve the Americans hugely.

Many English along with another 90 countries people died in the 9/11 and imo that deserves respect.

Although I do think paying respects every year sort of gives Al Qaeda a reason to gloat.

But what a ruddy rediculous comment. Yes WW2 heroes did change our lives hugely, but not get recognition? They get recognition much more than soldiers of today? What are you comparing 'no recognition' to? -rep ridiculous.

Okay, but what about the Palestinians? they are being gunned down during conflicts between Hamas and Israel - are they not worth the hazzle? let's just let them die cause they are of no political interest

WWI = Important (i'm here today thanks to the brave men and women that fought for freedom)
WWII = Important (i'm here today thanks to the brave men and women that fought for freedom)
    9/11 = Couldn't care less

Yeah, I never cry during films... and this was no exception.

Still incredibly sad though all the same.

I had to do an essay on that film, create a character in that situation? Got an A* in it.

Please everyone, stop posting negtively. This is purely only to remember the innocent lives that were taken, just like in the World Wars and other "terrorist attacks". Just leave it at that.

It doesn't matter what Nationality they were. It's still a horrible way to lose a life, and I'm pretty sure most people aren't focusing their sadness all on American's, but what Lucy is saying is that everyone there that day were betrayed by the U.S. government, American or not.

If it was indeed carried out by terrorists and not the US Government or a similar authority then how have the people been betrayed by their government? If there was better surveillance and airport security they might of caught them however you can't just implement very strong airport security for no reason, it would annoy an awful lot of people as there'd be no real justification for it.

The devastation of 9/11 made people understand why all this security and surveillance is needed. I'm not saying that 9/11 has made the world a better place, it's just that they can't predict the future.
