Hmm true as AGM (Forum) won't really have much to do.
Sammeth. for GM then. The quicker the better. I can't see any other current AGM's better suited for the job. No point waiting for nvrspk4 to make his mind up. Why did he go on leave anyway? Does anyone know?

In regards to activity from administrators i thought i would give you some info on my behalf. It used to be that i posted a fair bit and i like to keep up to date on whats going down in the feedback and mainly general section. However, many of these threads and the dramatic ones have an outstanding amount of pages and posts and for me to come in half way through or at another points is hard to understand all the practicalities of the points made and read through the whole situation.
It happens to many of us when we get older that time simply disappears on us and we have many outside commitments whilst also coping to get the jobs done we are here for. In order to do my required duties online, it has to fit around my lifestyle and by the time i have done them it's time to be getting on with whatever else needs doing. Some would say well it's time to give it up but there is so many variables as to whether that's a good option or not if you can just manage.
I like to be able to browse around the forums have a chat and get involved but along with the time some thing's really don't interest me and you have to take in the different levels of humour and behaviour, some things appeal more to others than what it may have done a few years back, age changes us.
You also have to take in that there are many different personalities and so doing the job i do fit's with how i am as opposed to someone who is community based for example.
brandon for GM
Regarding the post approval system, since I posted the original idea, after it has been in place for over a year, I will post what I feel the pros and cons are.
Pros:
Cuts down on spam.
Cuts down on porn being placed on the forum.
Cons:
It may put new members off signing up.
It IS a pain for a new member, I know this after I made an account to try it and in all honesty, I tried when it was 15. I gave up at about 7
So I do think the cons are pretty bad, so yes I also think it could be removed.
---
On the other hand I am a fan of forcing users to sign up if they say look at 10 threads. I have signed up to clubhabbo before (well on numerous email addresses), as I wanted to continue looking at thread.
Believe me, I know from experience, limiting thread view is the worst idea ever unless the forum offers unique things.Regarding the post approval system, since I posted the original idea, after it has been in place for over a year, I will post what I feel the pros and cons are.

I don't agree with forcing people to sign up. They will register if they see something they want. I'm stubborn and refuse to log in when that message comes up in clubhabbo... mind you, that's cos I've forgot my password as well
clubhabbo forced me to sign up and i love their forum, glad i signed up
i think their comps are great
I normally refuse, but sometimes you just HAVE to have a go at someonethat's a plus? I mean yes it is :eusa_whis oj!

I guess we should try anything to get more users./
The amount of Guests we get is actually very good compared to some other forums. I think we just need to make some things different, and find ways to lure them to sign up- We need unique things that perhaps other forums don't offer. It's clear the userbase is there (as guests), they just need to become members of the community.
I agree with the removal of the post aproval scheme. This will get members directly involved into the community more quickly.
I don't think the "view so many threads before signing up" thing would be good, as this won't neccassary mean they actually start posting. It's the first idea of changing out "guests" into members that needs to be worked upon.
