I guess if someone were to say "I hate the work and all the shiz that comes with college" it wouldn't really be bad but if you were to say "You're talking a load of shiz" it woud be. I think its best to let moderators use their discretion.

I reckon lmfao can be unfiltered but gtfo and stfu and things such as that will always remain filtered. And I think, even though its entirely made up, I'll filter FOM just cus its annoying.
Well if someone said ''you are talking a load of shiz'' then that's plain rude and can be dealt with under another rule. I agree that "I hate the work and all the shiz that comes with college" is not bad and pretty harmless but at the present time it would be penalised. What you are saying is not in line with the present instructions to the mods in respect to this word so that's where the clear directions need to be. On some occasions they are between the devil and the deep blue sea in these situations that's why I mentioned that
clear and consistent guidelines should be made otherwise it is frustrating for members and mods alike.

My personal view is that all words that are deemed unacceptable should be added to the filter so that any member cannot be in any doubt about what can be posted and what can't and if they try to post any of these words then they can only do it by 'avoiding the filter'.

Whether or not they can be used to insult somebody is a spurious argument in my opinion as this is an entirely different rule break and whether or not they are in the filter does not enter the equation.

The matter needs to be looked at and a consistent approach applied.
This is what I was saying way back when I had that big row with you about avoiding the filter! I totally agree .

Yeah but I thought little comments like that at management weren't needed? Never used this phrase before, but pot kettle black my friend!

I agree that the Moderation Department should all start sending out friendlier PMs to users so it doesn't make it look too "automated", It's always nice to put a nice personal touch it. I mean, we would all complain if we was in a store and they all looked depressed. But anyway, I know a few Moderators already do this, but I shall make it all aware to them.

Ps. FML is no longer breaking the rules.
Mmm that was the point in the first place, if you're just using preset angry templates you may as well just go straight to warning!

Edit: sorry thought the thread was shorter, its gone wayy past that

It's called having a joke, this forum doesn't always have to be serious from time-to-time. Are you being picky because we had an argument...

Keep up will you, It's already been said most moderators do already although some aren't as friendly as others. Although that has been addressed and should be sorted.

I think he's saying it because you said it to him some time ago in another thread.
