I understand your idea Cwmbran but what Oli has stated is the true basis of our reasons against it.

Even if we were to introduce a non-habbo show that would only be a top 40 show without the competitions thus isn't going to positively improve our stats,
secondly it will really piss off the habbo players they are a very demanding bunch

If you are really that desperate to listen to HxL I suggest listening using the forum player or habboxlive.com

To the person who said that song quality is good, it's not. I can easily tell if it's illegal or not, but other seem to not be able to. The song should be 320 kbps if you want it to be radio quality. Also, I do not get why mono is used, you want things to be stereo.

My shows tended to be real-life based, I would talk about real life news, issues and just in general. I am 19 and do not really play Habbo, only log on to give stuff away or visit the help desk so I couldn't care less about Habbo if I'm being honest and I wanted shows to be based on real life as that is something I would want to tune into. I know for a fact that I got many older listeners listening to my shows as well, because of such reasons.

As for DJs saying their shows are all 'real-life', they are not. If you want to classify yourself as a DJ who basis their shows on real-life then you need to show for it by doing news, talking about the issues in the world or in life in general. DJs have improved A LOT since the last few months and the radio is really going somewhere, but it annoys me to think that some DJs are coming in here acting all high and mighty like they are on radio 1and claiming they do things that they do not.

I would like this idea. Swearing is a big no no- you don't really see it on real life radio either. You could do a late show based on real life, during UK nights/ American afternoons, which would be of great potential. To do this, you would need people who know how to do such shows and not make it what people claim they do atm and expand the content within the shows to a greater extent.

Point 1) The honest truth is almost all of the presenters use illegal music, who cares though? How I see it is, you pay for what you get. If you're going to download illegaly, so be it, it's you that may get caught and have to cough up a hefty fee. If you are going to download illegally, at least spend that little extra time looking for the best quality track. Just remember it is your loss not mine, "haha but you pay for your music so you're losing out" yep, but I get the best quality you can possibly receive. Also guys I know buying individual tracks can add up, if you want to buy music look into record company's. Some do deals like 100 new tracks in four months for £50.

Point 2) I totally agree, it is only the small minority, the only presenters I actually like are the ones that think they're bad because normally they are quite entertaining and stick to the chase. I personally I hate people who are up their own asses.

Point 3) I totally disagree with presenters being able to swear. I do think swearing in songs should be a little lenient after the watershed. I can understand why they don't allow it though, it's a shame for the uk users that habbox is internationally based. If we were stricly uk based I think management may of given it a thought. I love rap & r&b, trying to strip the tracks down until it's clean is not only a nightmare but it sounds bad.

Illegal music doesn't neccesarily mean bad quality. More than half of my friends, that i know never pay for music, have just as good quality (or at least so close it's not noticeable) as regular legal downloads.

However i agree that the odd time i tune in to habboxlive, the song quality isn't always up to standard.
Bonjour, la noirceur, mon vieil ami
    Je suis venu te reparler
    Car une vision piétinante doucement
A laissé ses graines lorsque je dormais
    Et la vision
Qui était plantée dans mon cerveau
    Demeure toujours
    Parmi le son du silence

They should allow swearing on the radio, it'd open up a whole lot of songs for the DJs. Then again the ones I've listened to recently seem to enjoy justin bieber so it wouldn't make a difference.

I like the idea of one show a week dedicated to none habbo things, maybe not UK primetime, but one show a week wouldn't hurt, and would possibley make habboxlive more popular?

Wether a song is 320Kbps or not is irrelevent in terms of Habbox. Iirc they stream at something like 96Kbps.

It doesn't work that way- it doesn't matter if they stream at 12 or 320, the lower the kpbs on a song, the worse it sounds on any bitrate- more fuzziness starts, less acoustics etc.
