Camera Returning?

It was back in the day where people were happy with 2-norm prizes I had a wall of photos of all the winning teams too!

I miss those days. People were happy with plasto chairs. Getting any prize at all was like O_O YAY! lol

I really wish they would bring back the old photos first, the new camera would be cool, but the old photos better.

The plan with the camera was to have it run of a headless flash server that mimics that actions on a real hotel so that when a picture is taken they can do it using the headless server to ensure that there was no funny business, it was too resource intensive, camera isn't coming back.

I remember discussing this possible method of patching photo-manipulation years ago with Matthew and possibly yourself(?) as well as a few others that were in the community at the time... we decided at the time that it'd be too resource-heavy for them ever to attempt... it's amusing to see they did attempt it after all!

I think they might still bring the camera back but old photos ARE gone for good now - we might get "film" in exchange for the "Photo" furniture but that's the most we can hope for... the original MUS Server is disconnected and the images will probably never again be viewed. T_T

But yeah, they could bring them back... they'd just have to make the film cost a large amount (To lower the amount being made) and have a new moderator tool that pops up with each new photo taken (The photo would currently be on a "pending" status) and allows the moderator to either "approve" it (Thus saving the photo and releasing it to the user) or "delete & ban" the user if it's inappropriate/manipulated?

I think this would work pretty well... the Habbo community shrinks every day and (To my understanding) two moderators are always online for each hour each hotel is open?
So staying on top of the photo creation should be pretty easy after the first few days of novelty wear off.

Old photos actually still exists, and Johno has wrote the code to port them over. They could theoretically come back. Don't hold out for it though.

Last year say Paul, the camera can't back in the hotels. I have with MrJames on habbotimes a news to this write, but this is even. . But other site as puhekupla, habbos, habbox has to this a news, too. The screenshots was design by norman(?). The problem was by paul, that this not on the very important list was. Other things was more priorety (is that word right?) than the camera. I hope, Markku bring the camera in the hotels. :3.

Screenshot is a lot easier these days than having to pay 1c for a picture which will again disappear when the new generation of Habbo is out. :¬:
