I thought this too. There was the Monkey from the Lost Monkey Island game whatever it was, but it wasn't released. Only the Red one was.

It may depend, first it could just be the Evil Monkey meaning only 1 was released. Then it could mean the one in the game and the evil one making it 2, but if you added the colours of the monkeys from the game and the evil one it could be 9 might it as they could class the different colours as different monkey versions?

I thought 9 but its actually 10
9 normal monkey colours and 1 evil monkey

released doesn't have to mean sold in the shop. it just means brought into the game? so i would rule out 1

soo 2 or 10.
