Right I'm just going to tell @Cerys; @Inkwell; the same advice and for anyone else who wants it, in one post:

Do not be restricted by anything 'society says', do not be restricted by gender, do not be restricted by a lack of confidence, do not be restricted by sexuality, do not be restricted by constantly thinking about whether to do it or not - don't let yourself be restricted with a crush.

If you have a crush on someone and it's lasted a while they're bound to mean something very important to you... would you really, truly, honestly let that go because you were scared? Would you honestly throw a potential future away with someone because you couldn't bring yourself to do it? Trust me, you will massively regret never telling a crush that you have feelings or w.e MUCH MORE than telling them and being rejected - I never told mine and now I don't really have the chance anymore and it absolutely tears me apart that I was stupid enough to let it all go because I worried about sexuality and my lack of confidence.

If they say no, then it was never meant to be. If they say yes, woo! If they don't talk to you ever again that is entirely their loss and they are the shallow ones for flat out ignoring a person because they couldn't help their romantic feelings.

I know I can't just click my fingers and give you confidence but I really don't want anyone to go through pain of having feelings for someone and quite literally never having another chance to tell because they were so shy.
