I think the whole idea of coming out is not to lie to yourself and other any more and be true to yourself. Also it's kinda hard to find a bf/gf/other when your in the closet. Just saying. It's also to bring awareness to other people that yes, your family/friends/coworkers are lgbt, and to break down bad stereotypes about them.
